"To promote and enhance the Upper Red Lake Area,
and the economic,
commercial, and social interests
of its inhabitants."
The Upper Red Lake Area Association, Inc.
Is One of only Two Civic Groups Involved In The
Upper Red Lake Walleye Restoration.
Some of the other projects we are involved in:
- Doing everything we can to ensure that when the "con-con" land
determination is made by the MN DNR that as much land as possible is
designated " multi-use" areas that include camping, motor vehicle use, logging
and all uses of those lands that effect the economy of the area.
- Developing the first bottom structure map of Upper Red Lake and engaging in
the construction, installation, and marking "Crappie Cribs" with buoys.
- The planning and legislative action needed with the proposed "Big Bog
State Park or Recreation Area".
- Developing an OHV Trail System connecting all the neighboring
communities.
- Restoring the public beach in the "Day Use" area of the Waskish
Park.
